[She says it almost pleadingly. Life is a lot more complicated, she's realizing, than her upbringing had led her to believe, but she has to cling to the idea that some things still make sense.]
We can't condemn a world and all its inhabitants merely because one representative fails to live up to some sort of... morality by consensus. Or whatever the true standard of judgment is. participation sticker, sure
a very small gold star for the weirdo (:
I don't see why we should need to prove whether or not we deserve to live. Life isn't a matter of deserving or undeserving, really. Why should anyone, including Echo, get to choose who lives and who dies?
[Hank could refute that first bit. He could.]
Good to know you’re all roaring and ready to go
[Is it, though? Is it??]

I’d be fuckin weirded out
why would I say sorry to you
for literally anything
do people often apologize to you???
[Hank can’t imagine it, but...]
has anyone even done anything deserving an apology??
like at all
Oh I’m SURE
[Did Hank thank him? Directly? He doesn’t think so.]
I mean it’s not like you thanked me for providing the old fuck to choke out
Oh yeah. Weird guy was watching me when I woke up
So thanks I guess???
[There. Is that enough!!]
?????????
OK what is
What is all that
You fucking bite me I’ll bite you. What the fuck
